COMPUTERS

These are electronic machines whose function into to process data, processing data means manipulating material which has been given to the machine and may be called Information. Computers have shortened and made easier the work of many people, it has created new areas to work in.  One should never think a machine such as a computer; it can replace the intelligence of man, it can facilitate the work by performing very complex operations in short time.

All computers have common features no matter that they require information is called INPUT. The operations the machine does with this information are called PROCESSING and the result of this is the OUT PUT, the person who determines the INPUT or information, the PROCESSING and the OUTPUT is a COMPUTER PROGRAMMER. He has to know what kind of information has to be given to the machine for processing in order to obtain the results he needs.

The programmer designs the programs with which he works. These programs contain the information for the development of different tasks step by step.

The computer is a very efficient machine to work with it, which replaces a typewriter in a very accurate way, one can work with numbers, make diagrams, drawings and so on. It’s a very good job assistant in almost all professions.

There are two different kinds of computers, the analog computers and the digital ones.

The analog computers are used especially for measurements by electronic means and the digital computers are the most common, get their name because the information receives is made by a code consisting of digits.

The brain of a computer is an intricate network of tiny pores which ca be magnetized. The idea is to make the machine do what we need by sending signals which set to work certain switches ON and leave the others in the OFF position.

As man is the one who gives the information to the computer, the machine by itself cannot make mistakes, so computers rarely make them, they only do what the programmer intends them to do. Remember that the computer is just a machine and that it cannot think, so when a mistake occurs the programmer must debug its program, this is removed the error in its instructions to the machine, after this steps are followed and all the input has the adequate order for processing we have a wonderful machine to help us in our daily tasks.
